A
regional property management company hired
Waste Professionals to review its portfolio.
After discussing the findings with the management
company, a decision was made to implement consolidated
billing for properties and to change vendors
at some locations that were currently using expensive, government-mandated
services. The head of property management was concerned
that there were numerous contracts signed on behalf
of the properties with waste hauling firms, most
with five-year, auto-renewing
clauses (so-called "evergreen" contracts
are commonplace in the hauling industry) designed
to prevent changes in service from being implemented.
Waste Professionals successfully exited every contract on behalf of the management
firm and, as their spokesperson said, "Saved
the firm money." Billing was streamlined, is now understandable, and can
be paid with one transaction each month for all locations.
